Our Story

The Kunau Sisters have been interested in design from an early age, influenced by the mid-century style of their weaver mother. As a fundraiser and non-profit executive, Martha knows the power of story to change lives and help make the world a better and more beautiful place. Sara, a commercial interior designer, understands how to bring together form and function, finding elegance in simple, yet beautifully designed products.

In 2018, they founded Kunau Collections and together they have curated this collection of beautifully-designed and functional home goods by working directly with the artisans who have created them, providing them fair compensation, supporting traditional cultures and designs and bringing them directly to you.
